This is an important collaboration and decision as far as eBay goes, since Mercari, the most popular selling app for iOS and Android recently expanded to desktop computers giving a whole new avenue for selling to sellers and small businesses which handle all of their business and selling via a old school computer.
Mercari quietly opened up its marketplace for traditional web browsers on computers, putting it in direct competition with eBay and Amazon, immediately taking the title of third best places to sell online in 2017.
This eBay-Snupps strategy moves ebay into direct competition in the app world against selling apps Mercari, Offer-up, etc. beyond what their traditional eBay app has to offer, by allowing Snupp users to inventory and organize their inventory in a single location "Off-eBay", without having to have those products and items for sale until they desire.
